Brats For Kids!
The Johnsonville Brats ‘Big Taste Grill’ will be cooking up something special this weekend at the Jackson Boat, Sport and RV Show. The Big Taste Grill will be offering the mouth watering brats during the event – with all proceeds going to the Exchange Club - Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. Buy your brats for the kids! The mildly-seasoned pork sausages will be going for $2.00 each.
Rolling in at 65 feet, the “Big Taste Grill’ is a completely self-contained grilling machine that runs at 2,500 bph (bratwurst per hour). A spectacle in itself, the rig has become quite famous with its appearances at several SuperBowls, the Daytona 500, the Kentucky Derby, Nascar races, and even touting the Pentegon.
The mission of the Exchange Club - Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse is to provide support to families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee and to help both parents and children meet the practical needs of preserving and improving the quality of family life.
The Center's services put families back together and literally saves the lives of children. During the past year, over 3,000 children were served by the Center. It is often showcased as a model center and is the largest of its kind in the nation. More important than size, however, is the effectiveness of the programs. Of all the cases served by the Center, less than 5% have ever had to be re-opened because of child abuse.
Make plans for lunch, dinner or snacks at the Jackson Boat, Sport and RV Show this weekend at the Carl Perkins Civic Center . Show times are Thursday from 3-9; Friday from 3-9; Saturday from 9-9 and Sunday from noon – 6. Admission prices are $6.00 for adults; $2.50 for children; and free for ages 6 and under.
